How to Build a Salt Battery

How to Build a Salt Battery (2023) was an installation focused on the capacity of salt (NaCl) to generate electrical power.  The project space was defined by a 9 foot x 9 foot bed of rock salt.  An electrical circuit comprised of 24 cells filled with a 5% salt solution and anodes and cathodes of aluminum and copper was arranged on the salt bed.  A small LED was illuminated by the power generated by this simple salt battery.  A monitor played a video loop generated using an Artificial Intelligence program called "Pictory."
